Amber is the secretion of the Sperm Whale, a cetacean that lives in the Indian Ocean releasing this substance naturally into the water. This raw material is carried by the waves and sometimes floats for decades on the sea. The sun and the water of the oceans purify it until it takes on the sweet and unmistakable scent of sea and leather that has fascinated man since its origin.
 When the Amber is fresh, it is black in color, but dried in the sun, it becomes gray and takes on, in addition to the waxy consistency, a delicious scent that at times recalls tobacco. The waves deposit it on the beaches of Madagascar and often after months of floating it comes adrift in the Indian Ocean.
 It is one of the finest existing raw materials.
 With maturation it acquires an intense musky, oriental and persistent smell and that is why it has always represented a highly sought-after perfumed raw material.
