THE BUDDHIST EMPEROR
 Inspired by a legendary ruler, Neela Vermeire Créations created Ashoka, a tribute to an Emperor who after the glorious victory of Kalinga was conquered by his own compassion and the weight of his faults seeing the price of lives that had been paid for the victory. He converted to Buddhism and devoted the rest of his life to spreading Buddha's teachings, truth, justice and compassion for all creatures living under the sun. His inner evolution from ruthless conqueror to benevolent emperor is reflected in Ashoka's path, from an intense opening towards a soft floral heart to the gentle embrace of its rich and complex background.
