 Known as Mehrunissa, the most powerful Empress of the Mughal dynast, Noor Jahan was the favorite wife of Emperor Jehangir. She was the real power behind the throne during her husband's reign, so much so that after his death, her male relatives kept her segregated (in comfort!) For the rest of her life. In her seclusion, she devoted herself to the art of perfumery as it had been handed down to her from her mother.Mohur is a rose-based perfume, a combination of an opulent Mughal rose and an elegant bouquet of spiced leather, a scent we can imagine during tea after a polo match. To capture this moment, Mohur was created as a refined pink-oud alliance that pays homage to the power and talent of Noor Jahan.
