Contrasting darkness with invigorating complexity, perfumer Pia Long combined a vivid olfactory impression of the man, his works and his myth. Accords of Somali incense, dry woods and wet stone blend with opium smoke, papyrus and kyphi, supported by a base of Haitian resins Vetiver, Labdanum, Benzoin and Myrrh. As the perfumer Pia Long comments "the fragrance we created seems to have always existed, as if we had evoked a myth in being from the ether"
